Franziska Niedere

Franziska Niederle had a standout collegiate tennis career, beginning at San Diego Christian College, where she was named Player of the Year and played a pivotal role in helping the team reach the NAIA National Championships. Her strong performances in both singles and doubles made her one of the top players in the GSAC conference. She later transferred to Menlo College for her senior year, where she served as team captain and a leader both on and off the court. During her time at Menlo, she helped guide the team to consecutive appearances in the GSAC Tournament Finals, earning All-Conference honors along the way.

Originally from Dachau, Germany, Franziska brings a rich international perspective to her coaching, with firsthand experience in both European and U.S. player development systems. She has coached at various levels and spent over 10 weeks working junior tennis camps at Stanford University, helping young athletes build technical fundamentals, confidence, and a love for the game.

Now serving as the Graduate Assistant Coach for the Women’s Tennis Team at Menlo College, Franziska is passionate about helping student-athletes grow on the court and beyond. Her recent collegiate playing experience, leadership background, and international training make her uniquely equipped to mentor and motivate athletes in a high-performance environment.

In addition to coaching, Franziska is currently pursuing a master’s degree in Sport and Performance Psychology, with a special focus on the mental side of the game. She is dedicated to helping young athletes develop resilience, focus, and self-belief, skills that extend far beyond tennis and into life.
